Narasimha Idol Can Be Felt as Human By Touch Hemachala Mallur

The wonders of temples and Gods do not cease to amaze.

I have written quite a few articles on this subject.

There is Narasimha Temple, near Warangal,

Narasimha Swamy, Hemachalam, Narasimha Swamy, Hemachalam,

Sri Hemachala Narasimha Swami Temple – Puttakonda, Malluru , Mangapeta, Warangal, AP
Lord Narasimha is believed to be incarnated from a Valcano mountain and the Lord’s body is felt and sensed same as human body.

Chintamani Jalapatham and Koneru in the temple premises has its water originated at Lord’s feet.

When one touches the Idol, the Idol feels like Human skin and is flexible as a Human!

According to the historical stories, the demon king, Ravana had gifted this place to his loving sister, Shurpanaka where around 14000 demons lead by Khara Dushana were done to death by the great Rama. It was Agastya , the great sage who gave the present name to the shrine as Hemachalam. There is a belief exhibited by the devotees that the deity, if alone, enflames the temple premises. But as the deity is affixed with a golden Goddess Lakshmi on his chest region, the deity assumes tranquility thus lessening the troubles due to fire accidents. It is a divine wonder to note that the sandal in the fluid form flows through the Umbilicus of the great Maha vishnu.

Understanding the gravity of the miracles that the temple holds for itself, the devotees in large number throng to the temple to offer their prayers to fulfill their wishes, to beget children or to redeem themselves from sins and obstacles (doshas) that a student faces during his life career. There are many stories that are depicted regarding the miracles exhibited by the deity.

How To Reach Hemachala,Mallur.

Unique Roof Stone Drips Water on Shiva Linga 24 Minutes Thittai

There are some astounding features in Indian temples.

The construction of a temple is very complex and it hs to follow well laid norms in the Agama Sastra.

Thittai Vasisteswarara Temple roof.jpg Thittai Vasisteswarara Temple roof.

In addition to this , many temples have special features.

Vasishteswarar ,Thenthittai.jpg Vasishteswarar ,Thenthittai

Rays of the Sun falling on the Idol at fixed time of the year.

Idols shadow touching the wall.

Idols changing colors at fixed time every day.

Temples being aligned in the same longitude.

Idol looking like one figure from the front and another from the back.

Idols growing.

Idol which feels like Human at our touch.

Shadow of the roof of the temple falling in its base(Thanjavur)

The list is endless.

Please read my posts on what is listed above and for more.

Now there is a Temple in Thittai near Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu, India, where a special stone called Surya/Chandra Kanthakal( Sun, Moon Stones) is fixed in the Vimana,roof of the temple over the Garbha Gruha.

This stone absorbs moisture from the atmosphere and drips water on the Shiva Linga once in 24 Minutes.( Half Muhurtha)

Vasishteswarar temple is situated in the village “Thittai” near Thanjavur.

As the village is situated south of the Cauvery river, it is also called “Thenkudi Thittai”.

The presiding deity is Swayambootheswarar and the Goddess, Ulaganayaki. As the main deity is a Swayambu Lingam he got the name “Swayambootheswarar”.

The main deity is also called as Vasishteswarar as he was worshipped here by Saint Vasishtar.

The unique feature of this temple is that a drop of water falls on the Shiva linga every 24 minutes from the ceiling.

This is because of a very special stone called Chandrakanth kept on the roof.

This stone absorbs moisture from the surrounding air and converts into a drop of water.

This temple attracts huge crowds because of the above stone as well the presence of the temple for Raja Dakshinamoorthy.

“Thittai”, the name of the village means “Thittu” in Tamil, (i-e) a Mound.

When the whole world was surrounded by water because of “Pralayam”, Brahma & Vishnu worshipped the Lord Maheshara for protection. After wandering much for a safe place, they found this only mound, which did not drown in the Pralaya waters, where there was a Shiva Lingam.

They performed Pooja to the Lingam and worshipped Lord Shiva, who appeared before them and delegated their duties of Creation and Protection.

It is believed that this is the only place, which was not destroyed even during Pralayam( Dissolution of the Universe)

Unlike many other temples, here the complete temple is built using the stone. Not only for the main deities, but also all other Sannidhi’s are constructed using stones, right from floors, pillars, walls and roof.

*Two stones “Suryagaanthakkal” and “Chandragaanthakkal” which are placed at strategic points above the Vimana are the reasons for the droplets of water which falls on the deity.

These 2 stones absorb moisture from the atmosphere, convert into 1 water droplet, performing a natural Abhishegam to the deity, every 24 minutes (1 Naazhigai), be it the day or night.

A small piece of yellow cloth (Dhothi) which covers the Lingam is always wet because of this. If one can wait patiently, they can view this amazing act.

The temple tank situated opposite the temple is called “Chakra Theertham” which is believed that it was created by the Chakra from the hands of Mahavishnu.

The Goddess is called Ulaganayagi. It is said that a Vaisya girl got back her dead husband after worshipping Ulaganayagi.

How to reach.

Airport. Tiruchi.

Railhead.Tiruchi, Thanjavur,Kumbakonam, Thiruvarur.

Bus Station.From Tiruchi, Kumbakonam,mauram, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur

The temple is located six km from the main road on the way to Melattur from Thanjavur

Ra Ma Is Bulgarian For Temple Rama In Bulgaria

I had written about the presence of Sanatana Dharma in Russia,Baltic Region.

Vedic Traces in Lithuania.

“Traditionally, the Vedic peoples of Lithuania worshipped the Ašvieniai, the divine horse twins, related to the goddess Ūsinis. They are said to pull the Sun Chariot through the sky. The Lithuanian people continue to adorn their roof tops with the symbol of the divine horse twins in order to receive protection for the household…

Asvini Kumaras Lithuania

Now to Bulgaria.

Bulgarian and Sanskrit etymological similarities suggest the presence of Rama in Bulgaria.

This similarity also points out to the Pyramids and the influence of Rama in Europe.

I had written on the Empire of Rama.

Rama worshiping Shiva Linga, Shiva Looks on.jpg Rama worshiping Shiva Linga, Shiva Looks on.

Google Rama Bulgaria, you shall be surprised at the Number of Resorts, Golf courses in Bulgaria.

A Sample.

Location: Balchick , Bulgaria
Type: Residential/Hotel
Size: 66,490 sqm possible built-up area
Gross development value: €15,7 million

Black Sea Rama Golf & Country Club is an exclusive gated seaside community featuring a world class 18-hole signature golf course which design and construction have been managed by Gary Player Design. The site is located on a cliff in North East Bulgaria and has a wonderful view of the Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast.

Black Sea Rama is an ideally accessible area for holiday or second homes. Varna international airport is just 30 minutes away and the City itself has extensive shopping facilities, theatres, restaurants, bars and many other tourist attractions.

The site is currently partially developed with the first phase of semi-detached villas completed and a number of completed and partially constructed individual villas. Landmark retains freehold interest in two large plot areas (named J and G). Plot J is situated on the southern edge of the site and measures 46,365 sq.m. It has the benefit of frontage to the Black Sea shoreline with the benefit of sea views. Plot G is located further inland on the south western edge of the main site and measures 15,000 sq.m.”

“In Arabic, pyramid is said Hram. This comes from the Bulgarian word Hram meaning Temple. Hram is a Bulgarian word whose ancient origin dates back thousands of years and that means God Mother Temple (Ra + Ma).

Ra is the absolute god of the ancient Bulgarians and Ma is the great goddess, mother of matter and energy. In the people of HRAM (Hora is Bulgarian word for people) you can feel the energy of Mother God Rama. “..

“In the past, our wise ancestors Bulgarians used geomagnetic force to build their hram, pyramids, temples and shrines in rocky mountainsides or buried in deep wells.” Geomagnetic force is part of vril energy, commonly used long ago. “They used the force of Mother Earth Ge / Ga because they knew that the human body is made of earth, and his soul is the spirit of God Ra – spirit they called Ha. This powerful geomagnetic energy facilitated their contact with the Spirit God Mother or Ha Ra Ma. That’s why they named Harama (hram) their megalithic temples.

The Spirit of God through Ra Ma, the goddess of matter and earth. Until today the pyramids in Egypt are called HRAM, Ahram. However, over the ages, this knowledge has been obscured and destroyed “..

Anything directly or indirectly related with Rama was indeed mutilated, fake or destroyed. This makes it difficult for the researcher to talk about the missing remains. We must therefore examine the language – which remains and does not lie. Harama in old Bulgarian means Spirit of Ra and Ma, says the Bulgarian author. Very well. I also see an evocation of the primitive trinity of Hyperborean and/or Atlantean gods. Ha ie Holy Spirit – Ra, ie Father God – Ma ie Mother Goddess. Under different forms, this divine trinity can be found in many ancient religions until now.

This explains many things. During the era of the Lion, the gods astronauts returned to earth. Their leader was Ra, the sun god, who is united to Ma, the Matriarch. She was the Great Mother, she managed the planet with magic and giving.

Millennia later, during the era of Aries, a young Hyperborean druid terminates the matriarchy which has became a mess of criminal witches mistreating males with sadism.’

*I had witten on the Hyperborean vedic Link

..

Hram, Bulgarian word for “temple”,  evokes the architect of Solomon’s temple, Hiram. Same name. And further evidence that the temple of Jerusalem was not dedicated to Yahweh, but to HA RA MA, the original Atlantéo-Hyperborean trinity.

Bulgarian temple is said Hram or Ahram, hence Ashram, Hindi word for temple. Where does this strong relationship between the ancient Bulgaria and the saga of Rama? Some Bulgarian authors are convinced that the Bulgarian is the common language of the Maya and ancient Bulgarian called Thrace.

They highlight some obvious similarities between the old Europe and America on the religious worship of the sun or linguistics, language very close orally.

But we should probably look further, towards the language of the Atlanteans and Celts. Oral transmission was the rule and the glyphs have evolved over the ages, we must learn to decode through the cults, myths and common traditions. It is quite true that there are commonalities to these two civilizations. They share the same stone, strong technological knowledge, great spiritual kinship and language with great similarity.

To those who may be surprised to find the same words in two places as distant as India and Bulgaria, I would suggest to read other episodes in the life of druid Ramos of Hyperborea. They will discover that ancient Rama road to distant Asia is dotted with places, people or events that still celebrate his precious name, even if his memory is forgotten. The Druid Ramos became Ram for the Celts, he crossed all Europe and Asia to bring peace, prosperity and spiritual elevation. He brought a new way of thinking, behaving and talking, hence many Rama traditions still remain in Western and Eastern Europe, around Mediterranean Sea, in the Balkans and Middle East, as well as in India, Tibet and China, as we have seen. ”

Jatadhara Shiva Mount Kailash Face Underground Tunnels

Mount Kailash is intriguing, both from Legends and Geography.

It has been reported in Russian scientific circles that it is a world of other dimension.

“Nor should one ignore recent Russian studies of Tibet and the Kailas range in particular, the results of which, if true, could radically alter our thinking on the growth of civilizations. One of the ideas the Russians have put forward is that Mt. Kailas could be a vast, human-built pyramid, the centre of an entire complex of smaller pyramids, a hundred in total. This complex, moreover, might be the centre of a world–wide system connecting other monuments or sites where paranormal phenomena have been observed. It is difficult to explain all the available information in a short article for UN Special. I have copied in the photo below the pyramidal complex as proposed by the Russians. The idea of the pyramid in this region is not new. It goes back to the timeless Sanskrit epic of the Ramayana.”…’

Mount Kailash, man-made Pyramids, Beings from another dimension.

I also received information from a reader in the US that Mr.Peter Moon has done exhaustive research on this subject.

Peter went out on his own in 1983 and moved to Long Island where his background in dealing with mind control phenomena and spiritual liberation enabled him to forge an association with scientist Preston Nichols, one of the world’s foremost experts in the world on electromagnetic phenomena who had been involved in strange experiments at the Montauk Air Force Station on Long Island which included the manipulation of time. Their collaboration in “The Montauk Projct: Experiments in Time” and its subsequent sequels have now reached legendary proportions.
Peter has continued his own investigation into the occult forces behind the Montauk Project and has also collaborated with Dr. David Anderson of the former Time Travel Research Center which has now been reincorporated as the Anderson Institute. After Peter and Preston’s books had been translated into the Romanian language, Dr. Anderson invited Peter to Romania where he has pursued remarkable mysteries beneath the Romanian Sphinx in the Bucegi Mountains which have been published in “Transylvania Sunrise” by Radu Cinamar with Peter Moon. This book concerns the discovery of the most amazing archeological artifact in the history of Mankind, a chamber that contains a holographic record of the Earth’s history as well as holographic readouts of human DNA and other species.’

He reports that there are underground tunnels connecting Transylvania, Rumania with Tibet and Mount Kailash.

There is a Holographic Room in the underground Chamber and it contains ancient historical manuscripts.

I shall be writing on this in detail.

In the mean while I  was curious about the name Jatadhara, describing Lord Shiva.

Jatadhara means one with matted locks.

Ganges descending into Shiva's Matted Locks.Jatadhara Shiva.jpg

Ganges descending into Shiva’s Matted Locks.Jatadhara Shiva.

Bhagiratha, ancestor of Rama took to penance to bring Ganges down to earth, to perform the ancestors’ right( sons of Sagara)

The Ganges got locked in the matted locks of Lord Shiva and Bhagiratha had to perform another tapas(penance) to Shiva to make Him release the Ganges from His matted Locks.

Shiva is fundamentally a Yogi and is described as the first Siddha of the world.

Yogis normally do not pay much attention to looks and their hair is matted.

It is a coincidence that the face of Kailash looks as Matted locks of hair.

This is the Image.

I shall be writing more on Mount Kailash.

Managla Gowri Vrata is celebrated with pomp and piety in India.

This festival is clubbed with Ganesh Chaturthi and these two festivals together are called Gowri Ganesha Habba.

Gowri habba is celebrated one day ahead of Ganesha Chaturthi.

Parvathi as Gowri for Gowri habba.jpg Parvathi as Gowri for Gowri habba.

Pratahkal Gowri Puja Muhurat = 06:12 to 08:37
Duration = 2 Hours 24 Mins
Pradoshkal Gowri Puja Muhurat = 18:16 to 20:01
Duration = 1 Hour 44 Mins
Tritiya Tithi Begins = 17:27 on 15/Sep/2015
Tritiya Tithi Ends = 20:01 on 16/Sep/2015

‘It is a significant festival in parts of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. It is known as Hartalika in the North Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Ma Goddess Gowri (Gauri), the mother of Ganesha and wife of Shiva, is worshiped throughout India for her ability to bestow upon her devotees courage and power. Hindu belief has it that Goddess Gowri is the very incarnation of Aadhi Shakthi Mahamaya. She is the Shakthi of Lord Shiva. It is believed that on Thadige, or the third day of the month of Bhaadra, Goddess Gowri comes home like any married woman comes to her parents’ house. The next day Lord Ganesha, her son, comes as if to take her back to Kailasa..

However Gowri festival is observed on a Low key in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

On this day, married women, after bathing, wear new or smart clothes and dress up the girls of the family. Then they do the ‘sthapana’ of either jalagauri or arishinadagauri (a symbolic idol of Gowri made of turmeric). Beautifully painted and decorated clay idols of Goddess Gowri can be bought at the local market. The goddess’ idol is mounted in a plate, with a cereal (rice or wheat) in it. As this ‘puje’ or ritual is to be performed with ‘suchi’ (cleanliness) and ‘shraddhe’ (dedication), the women go to temples or to another person’s house, where it is performed according to set procedures or they can perform the ritual in their own homes.

A mandapa, generally decorated with banana stem and mango leaves, is built around the idol. The Gauri is decorated with garlands, decorations made of cotton, and women have a ‘gauridaara’ (sacred thread with sixteen knots) tied to their right wrists, as blessings of gauri and as part of the vratha. Each of the sixteen knots is worshiped with mantras during the performance of the religious practice.

An interesting part of the festival is offering the baagina. At least five baaginas are prepared as part of the vratha. Each baagina usually contains a packet of arshina (turmeric),kumkum, black bangles, black beads (used in the mangalsutra), a comb, a small mirror, baLe bicchoLe, coconut, blouse piece, dhaanya (cereal), rice, toor dal, green dal, wheat or rava and jaggery cut in a cube form. The baagina is offered in a traditional mora (winnow painted with turmeric). One such baagina is offered to Goddess Gowri and set aside. The remaining Gowri baaginas are given to the married women.

Another specialty of this festival is that the ‘tavaru maneyavaru’ (the married woman’s parents and brothers) send gauri habbada mangaladravya to the married women of their family. Some send money as a substitute for mangaladravya. This good practice remains unchanged and keeps people closer. Newlymarried women give sixteen jothe baagina to sumangalis (married women) and obtain their blessings. One baagina is kept for Gauramma. The main food items in this festival’s feast are the delectable beLe hoLige/Kaayee-hoLige, Huggi/chitranna and Bajji.

Newlywed couples are invited to the house of their in-laws and served with festive food. In the olden days, newlywed couples had to wait till Gowri Habba to consummate their marriage. The logic behind this practice is that if a child is conceived during Gowri Habba, which falls during the winter, the child would be born nine months later, during the summer, when it would be less prone to infections. This practice has been in place for years but has declined in recent times due to modernisation.

Vedas As ‘Perun’s Vedas Santees’ In Russia

I have written  a series of articles on the Sanatana Dharma and Vedic connection.

“Santii Vedas of Perun

That,

The Rig Veda was composed in the Arctic.

Krishn’a son Pradhyumna built a city in Por Baijn, Sibria,

River Volga was the cradle of Vedic civilization

Russia was called Rishi Varsha and also as Sthree Varsha, a country ruled by women,

It belonged to Ila Varsha od Indian Puranas,

Lake Baikal was Vaikanasa Theertha,

Indra’s Amravathi was Arkaim,

Swasthik Rig Vedic Mandala city was  built in Russia.

Siberians invoke Ayur Devathas.

Narada Mountain in Urals,Narodnaya

A reader posed an interesting question.

‘Are there oral traditions of the Vedas, Puranas and Ithihasa in other countries as Sanatana Dharma was present throughout the world”

I replied that I have written that there is a Catur Veda in Bali and I shall be exploring the subject.

Considering the finds in Russia relating to Sanatana Dharma I have searched Russian literature and pre-Christian texts of Russia.

And I struck gold!

There is a Veda in Russia and it is called,Perun’s Vedas Santees ‘

Perun’s Vedas Santees’’ are meant only as Vedas in narrow sense (Books of Knowledge or Perun’s Wisdom Books), consisting of nine books, dictated by our first ancestor, the God Perun, to our far ancestors while their third arrival to the Earth on the spaceship Waitman, in 38 004 B.C. (or 40 009 years ago). Only the first book of these Vedas was translated into Russian nowadays.

As a whole Vedas contain a profound knowledge about nature and reflect Humanity history in the Earth during last several hundred thousand years, – at least, not less than 600 000 years. They also contain Perun’s prediction of the future events for 40 176 years ahead, i.e. until nowadays and 167 years ahead.

Vedas in its basis, on which they were written originally down, are divided into three basic groups:

– satees are the plates of gold or other precious metal, without affect with corrosion on which texts were put by stamping signs and filling them with paint. Then these plates were fastened by three rings like books or made out in the oak framework and framed by a red cloth;

– charatiys are the sheets or rolls of high-quality parchment with texts;

– volchvaries are wooden plates with the texts written or cut out.

Santees are the most ancient of known documents. Originally „Perun’s Vedas Santees’’ were called as Vedas, but there are mentions of others Vedas in them, which even at that time, i.e. more 40.000 years ago, named Ancient and which either are lost, or stored in secluded places and not disclosed for any reasons currently. Santees reflect the most secret Ancient Knowledge. It is possible even to tell that they are archive of knowledge. By the way, Indian Vedas is only a part of  Slav-Aryan Vedas, transferred by arias about 5.000 years ago to India.

As a rule charatiys were santees copies, or, probably, writing out of santees, intended for wider use in the priestly habitat. The most ancient charatiys are „Charatiys of Light’’ (the Book of Wisdom) which were written down 28 736 years ago (or, to be exact, from 20 August till 20 September, 26 731 B.C.). As it is easier to write down charatiys than to make santees engraving on gold, so extensive historical data were written down in such a kind.

So, for example, charatiys under the name „Avesta’’ were written down on 12 000 bull’s skins 7.513 years ago along with the war history of  Slav-Aryan peoples with Chinese. The peace conclusion between fighting parties was called as the World Creation in the Star Temple (W.C.S.T.). And a year according to our ancient calendar in which this peace concluded was called as the Star Temple.

It was the first world war in the Earth’s history, and this event was so tremendous, and the victory was so significant for White Race that served as a reference point for new chronology introduction. Since then all white peoples counted summers from the World Creation. And this chronology was cancelled only by Peter Romanov I in 1 700 who imposed the Byzantine calendar to us as only the Romanovs come to power with the help of the Byzantine Empire. And „Avesta’’ itself was destroyed by Alexander the Great on an instigation of the Egyptian priests so the World Creation in the Star Temple didn’t throw the light onto „the world creation’’, described under their dictation in the Bible.”

The history of Russia is reversed here in the above quote.

The return of the Sanataa Dharma people from the Arctic after composing the Rig Veda is erroneously taken as the invasion of Aryans of India and as a result the history of India has ben distorted.

Read my posts on this.

Similarities between the Vedas and  Perun’s Veda Santees.

1, Both have ben transmitted orally.

2.Three groups have been mentioned in Perun Vedas corresponding to the three Varnas, Brahmana, Kshatrya and Vaishya.

3.One group has been entrusted with the custody of the Perun Vedas like the Brahmanas of the Sanatana Dharma.

4.

In antiquity Slavic-Aryan people had four main types of writing – one for each major family of the White Race. The oldest of the survived documents, ie, Santii, were written by ancient h’Aryan Runes. Ancient Runes are not letters or characters in the modern sense but secret images that convey a huge amount of ancient knowledge. They include dozens of characters, written under a common line, called “the heaven”, and include numbers and letters as well as certain objects or phenomena – frequently used or very important.

In ancient times h’Aryan runes served as the main base for the creation of simplified forms of writing: ancient Sanskrit, Lines and Strokes, Devanagari, German-Scandinavian Norse runes and many others. It, together with other writings of the Slavic-Aryan Families also became the foundation of all modern alphabets, starting with the ancient Slavic and ending with both Cyrillic and Latin. So it was not Cyril and Methodius who invented Russian grammar – they only created one of it’s convenient options which was dictated by the need to spread Christianity in Slavic languages.

It should also be added that the Slavic-Aryan Vedas are being kept by Priests-keepers, or Kapen-Yngliings, (keepers of ancient wisdom) at Slavic-Aryan “Kapishi” (temles) of Old Russian Orthodox Old Believers Church of Ynglija. The exact storage location is not known as our Ancient Wisdom was tried to be destroyed during the last thousand of years by certain forces. Now the domination of these forces is coming to an end, and the keepers of the Vedas began to translate them into Russian and publish. To date, partially translated is only one of nine books of the Santii Vedas f Perun. But it is in the narrow sense. And in the broader sense parts of the Vedas are kept in different places all among the white peoples – the descendants of the Slavic-Aryans.

Incidentally, it should also be noted that Ingliya (hence the name of the Church of Old Believers) – is a stream of energy in all its forms, which comes from a single, incomprehensible God-creator Ra-M-Ha. This flow starts at the center of concentrated matter during formation of galaxies and is associated with creation of stars. In addition to Ra-M-Ha our ancestors honored their galactic pre-ancestors and curators, who they also considered gods. Ancient Slavic people created certain images that allowed them to focus their attention and will so that people together could control the forces of nature, for example, call for rain (people – like little gods, so they needed to unite their will and mental energy for great deeds). These images were also called gods. Thus, our ancestors had three kinds of gods the main of whom they called Ra-M-Ha.

I shall be writing more on this subject after a careful study

Veda Shakhas Brahmin Distribution Region wise

Vedas, the basic referral text of Hindus is a highly organized one.

There are four Vedas, Rig, Yajur, Sama and Atharva Veda.

Each Veda has four divisions,

Samhitas or Hymns.

Texts of Sanatana Dharma, Hinduism.png Texts of Sanatana Dharma, Hinduism.

Brahmanas, Rituals.

Aranyakas, to be recited in the forest and

Upanishads, containing the highest Knowledge of Reality, Brahman.

Veda has  two sub divisions.

Shukla and Krishna Yajur.

These Hymns have Sukhthas in them which are in praise of  Deities and they are also explanation of Cosmology.

Some of them are also addressed to curing diseases .

These texts have been classified by Rishis.

Each Veda has many Branches. called Shakhas.

A shakha (Sanskrit śākhā, “branch” or “limb”), is a Hindu theological school that specializes in learning certain Vedic texts, or else the traditional texts followed by such a school.[3][4] An individual follower of a particular school or recension is called a śākhin.[5] The term is also used in Hindu philosophy to refer to an adherent of a particular orthodox system.

A related term caraṇa, (“conduct of life” or “behavior”) is also used to refer to such a Vedic school:[7] “although the words caraṇa andśākhā are sometimes used synonymously, yet caraṇa properly applies to the sect or collection of persons united in one school, andśākhā to the traditional text followed, as in the phrase śākhām adhite, (“he recites a particular version of the Veda”)”.[4] The schools have different points of view, described as “difference of (Vedic) school” (śākhābhedaḥ). Each school would learn a specific VedicSaṃhita (one of the “four Vedas” properly so-called), as well as its associated Brahmana, Aranyakas, Shrautasutras, Grhyasutrasand Upanishads.

The traditional source of information on the shakhas of each Veda is the Caraṇa-vyūha, of which two, mostly similar, versions exist: the 49th pariśiṣṭa of the Atharvaveda, ascribed to Shaunaka, and the 5thpariśiṣṭa of the Śukla (White) Yajurveda, ascribed to Kātyāyana. These have lists of the numbers of recensions that were believed to have once existed as well as those still extant at the time the works were compiled. Only a small number of recensions have survived.

Rig Veda

Śaunaka‘s Caraṇa-vyuha lists five shakhas for the Rig Veda, the Śākala, Bāṣkala, Aśvalāyana, Śaṅkhāyana, and Māṇḍukāyana of which only the Śākala and Bāṣkala are now extant. The Bashkala recension of the Rigveda has the Khilani which are not present in the Shakala text but is preserved in one Kashmir manuscript (now at Pune). The Shakala has the Aitareya-Brahmana, The Bashkala has the Kausitaki-Brahmana.

There is, however, Sutra literature from the Aśvalāyana shakha, both a shrauta sutra and a grhya sutra, both surviving with a commentary (vrtti) by Gargya Naranaya. Gargya Naranaya’s commentary was based on the longer commentary or bhashya by Devasvamin, written in the 11th century.

Yajur Veda

Śaunaka‘s Caraṇa-vyuha lists forty-two or forty-four out of eighty-six shakhas for the Yajur Veda, but that only five of these are now extant, with a sixth partially extant. For the Yajur Veda the five (partially in six) shakhas are the (Vajasaneyi Madhandina, Kanva; Taittiriya, Maitrayani, Caraka-Katha, Kapisthala-Katha).

The Yajurvedin shakhas are divided in Shukla (White) and Krishna (Black) schools. The White recensions have separate Brahmanas, while the Black ones have their(much earlier) Brahmanas interspersed between the Mantras.

  • Shukla Yajurveda: Vājasaneyi Samhita Madhyandina (VSM), Vājasaneyi Samhita Kānva (VSK): Shatapatha Brahmana (ShBM, ShBK)
  • Krishna Yajurveda: Taittirīya Saṃhita (TS) with an additional Brahmana, Taittiriya Brahmana (TB), Maitrayani Saṃhita (MS), Caraka-Katha Saṃhita (KS), Kapiṣṭhala-Katha Saṃhita (KapS).

Sama Veda

Śaunaka‘s Caraṇa-vyuha lists twelve shakhas for the Sama Veda out of a thousand that are said to have once existed, but that of these only one or perhaps two are still extant. The two Samaveda recensions are the Jaiminiya and Kauthuma.

The Kauthuma shakha has the PB, SadvB, the Jaiminiya shakha has the Jaiminiya Brahmana.

Only one shakha of an original nine is now extant for the Atharvaveda. The nine sakhas were Paippalada, Tauda, Mauda, Shaunakiya, Jajala, Jalada, Brahmavada, Devadarsa and Chaarana-Vaidya.

The Shaunaka is the only shakha of the Atharvaveda for which both printed texts and an active oral tradition are known to still exist.

For the Atharvaveda, both the Shaunakiya and the Paippalada traditions contain textual corruptions, and the original text of the Atharvaveda may only be approximated from comparison between the two.

Shakha Samhita Brahmana Aranyaka Upanishad
Shaunaka AVS, edited and recited by all over North India and South India Fragmentary Gopatha Brahmana (extant and published), no accents. Mundaka Upanishad (?) published.
Paippalada AVP; recited by Utkala Brahmins as samhita patha only. otherwise, two manuscripts survive: Kashmiri (mostly edited) and Oriya (partly edited, by Dipak Bhattacharya and others, unaccented) lost,similar to that of Gopatha Brahmana Prashna Upanishad, Sharabha Upanishad etc. – all edited.[citation needed]

Reply To Abusive Comments on Castes in Islam Post

I have received a lot of criticism for this Post.

List Of 308 Castes In Islam Indian Muslims

I have approved those which have not used abusive language.I am posting some of the comments below.

One says that I have just provided the information from other sources ‘this article of mine is a poor one , I do not even proof read properly, I have not provided references  from other sources(while one says I have provided information from other sources!), I hate Islam, and I do not have Intellectual honesty.

A very poorly written article. Let alone research or referencing, you haven’t even proofread it. There are many duplicate entries. You seem to confuse cultural groups and lineage with castes. Caste is characterised by hereditary occupations and intermingling, among other characteristics. The image at the start lists out different belief systems within Islam; it is not indicative of social/cultural classes or groups, but theological differences amongst Muslims. Most importantly, there is no sanction for castes in Quran/Hadith unlike other religion’s authoritative and definitve texts.

What you’ve compiled (or, just posted perhaps) and passed off as castes, is in fact –
– a repetitive list; Syed, Sayyid, Sayyed, etc. are merely different spellings. What’s with Pathans of X area and Pathans of Y area? This differentiation is hardly ever identified in reality.
– a list of lineages, i.e. – Syed, for instance, implies that they descend from Ali, the Prophet’s cousin and Pathans are those people whose ancestors were from Af-Pak.
– cultural backgrounds; Konkani, Dakhani (of Deccan), Goan, Gujarati, etc. are not castes. These are cultures, not castes.

All those you’ve listed, will and do, stand shoulder to shoulder in the same mosque and pray to the same God and believe in the same things, with some variations in practice and theory. At the most, there may be about 10-15 different groups that wouldn’t share mosques due to major differences in beliefs, and not social status.

For starters, eliminate the duplicate entries. Check ‘Faqir’, for instance – it appears as the 101st, 189th and 264th ‘caste’, besides a couple of entries without numbers. You’d be surprised to know that anybody can be a ‘faqir’ – it’s a way of life wherein one takes an oath to give up material life. Somewhat like sanyaas.
‘Sayyid’, with the same spelling and no variations, appears at 181, 76 and 33 positions. Then, it appears as ‘Sayyid of Gujarat’ as well.’

As I have said in ‘About, , I am not a professional writer and my job is to provide information and leave the reader to judge.

I have also said that at times I do not even proof read and I have requested people to point out my mistakes.On this count I plead guilty and shall try to improve.

I am aware that there are cultural groups mentioned here under Caste.

My question is would people from one group marry from one with another,?

I know from my Muslim friends in Tamil Nadu, that they do not.

“The image at the start lists out different belief systems within Islam; it is not indicative of social/cultural classes or groups, but theological differences amongst Muslims. Most importantly, there is no sanction for castes in Quran/Hadith unlike other religion’s authoritative and definitve texts”

Islam Unified?

What about Shias and Sunnis and other groups?

Some of them do not even stand the sight of another and kill each other.

Let me mention in the passing that one of my closest friends is a Muslim.

Please read my post Where Are These Muslims?

I am aware that there are e duplicate entries.

I have been waiting for Islamic scholar to correct them and I am yet to find a reader who would.

As to Pathans X and Pathans Y, they seem to identify themselves as such.

The fact is that despite saying Islam is One Religion, One Ummah, Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi Muslims are treated as inferior in Islamic countries,Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Where is the concept of One Religion based on Equality?

Yes , I am providing information  from other sources as I am not the original author in some areas and in such cases I provide information from other sources and give credit to these authors as Sources or Citations.

And I provide my views on the subject

This is a normal practice in a  researched article.

‘At the most, there may be about 10-15 different groups that wouldn’t share mosques due to major differences in beliefs, and not social status.”

Exactly what I am trying to convey.

Whether it is 15 or hundred it not ONE as touted.

And I have not talked about Shia Sunni divide here.

You may read about this in the Link below.

https://ramanan50.wordpress.com/2013/08/08/bahrain-shia-sunni-violence-simmers-to-erupt/

What I am trying to convey is that Islam is not what it is purported to be..Caste-less..

Another comment.

‘Sheer ignorance.. You would have consulted some muslim on the validity of what you are putting. You have every right to love or hate Islam but dont be intellectually dishonest.If 2 diff courts give 2 diff judgements,doesnt mean we have 2 constitutions. Same is wd sch of law.Its just 2 interpretations. Your classification fails at Level 1,

If my statements are not valid and do not pass Level 1, may people correct these with facts.

And I am yet to find any corrections !

Excepting abusing me and ascribing motives.

What is being offered as a correction, only confirms my Post!

As to Intellectual dishonesty, I do not proclaim what I am not.

And try to justify it.

Inauspicious Death Days Tripada Dosha Parihara

$

Hinduism states that there are days which are considered as inauspicious for Death.

If one dies on these specified days, Parihara, Atonement is recommended.

Pitru Dosha.jpg

Pitru Dosha.

Commonly held belief is that if the Pariharas are not done, more deaths would follow.

I am not too sure about this.

What I am certain is that these deaths bring in Pitru Dosha and Pariharas are necessary.

The Days inauspicious for Death fall under three categories.

Relating to the Nakshatras, Stars.

Rohini, Dhanishta, Satabhisham, Purvabhadra, Revathi, Mrugasira, Punarvasu, Uttara, Chitra, Visakha, Uttarashada, and Magha.

Thithis, Waxing and Waning of the Moon.

Padyami, Vidiya, Shashti, Ashtami, Ekadasi, Dwadasi, Trayodasi, Chaturdasi and Amavasya.

Days.

Sunday, Tuesday, Friday and  Saturday.

Some Smritis offer the following Parihara.

  • If a death has only one dosha the family members should leave the house for 1 month
  • If a death has two doshas the family members should leave the house for 6 months.
  • If a death has all the three types of doshams the family members should leave the house for 1 year.

As this is not practical now a days, there are other Pariharas as well.

  1. Pitru Tarpan Pooja (Shraddha Pooja) needs to be done at home with 5 dolls  made of Darbha (Kusha Grass) & White Cotton.

Prana Prathistapana ritual (infuse life in the Dolls) ceremony of the 5 dolls needs to be performed.

After Pooja, these 5 dolls should be buried in sand or mud near River or Sea shore.

Or perform Rudrabhisheka at home & offer food to   ancestors.

This pooja needs to be done without fail, otherwise dosha will not be removed.

  1. Nakshatra Shanti pooja & Navagraha Shanti Pooja need to be done for nullifying  the affect of Dosha.
  1. Perform Mahamrityunjaya Homa/Japa  at  home  after the above pooja’s are done.

Or Visit Gokarna  or other Pitru Parihara Sthalas and offer Sraddha.

SUN Hums OM Scientific Study

The Universe, which includes us, Is, because of vibrations and Sound.

interstellar Sound recorded
interstellar Sound

It is constantly in Motion and motion creates sound( or is it the other way around?)

And apart from the above facts mentioned by Hindu Texts, they also mention that what is is in the Macrocosm is in the Microcosm, that is what is found in the biggest objects in the Universe is also found in the minutest things/organisms in the Universe.

Universe is made of Five elements,Earth, Water,Fire, Air and Ether(Aakasa)

the sun god Surya in Hinduism
Surya, son God

So are we.

What happens in the Universe also happens in/to us.

The Vibration of the Universe is recorded.

I have written on on OM , the sacred Mantra of Hindus, which can be chanted by any one, how it originates in the Human Body, how the breath of Earth is identical to OM ., and how Om throws up the image of Sri Yantra, a practice of worshiping through geometric shapes, on  screen when used by a tonoscope.

The sound generated by Sun is OM.

Watch the video.

Our Sun lies 93,000,000 miles away, surrounded by the vacuum of space. Sound won’t travel through space, of course. But with the right instrument, scientists can “hear” pulsations from the Sun.

The entire Sun vibrates from a complex pattern of acoustical waves, much like a bell. If your eyes were sharp enough, you could see a bell’s surface jiggle in complex patterns as the waves bounced around within it.

Likewise, astronomers at Stanford University can record acoustical pressure waves in the Sun by carefully tracking movements on the Sun’s surface. To do this, they use an instrument called a Michelson Doppler Imager (MDI), mounted on the SOHO spacecraft, circling the Sun 1,000,000 miles from Earth.

The Sun’s acoustical waves bounce from one side of the Sun to the other in about two hours, causing the Sun’s surface to oscillate, or wiggle up and down. Because these sound waves travel underneath the Sun’s surface, they are influenced by conditions inside the Sun. So scientists can use the oscillations to learn more about how the structure of the Sun’s interior shapes its surface.

The Sun’s sound waves are normally at frequencies too low for the human ear to hear. To be able to hear them, the scientists sped up the waves 42,000 times — and compressed 40 days of vibrations into a few seconds. What you’ll be hearing are just a few dozen of the 10 million resonances echoing inside the Sun.

Studying the Sun Through Its Sounds Waves (NY Times)

Twenty Four Meters for Gayatri One For Each Syllable.

The Gayatri Mantra, the Mother of all Mantras explained in Hindu Texts is the ultimate mantra and is called Maha Mantra.

One can understand the significance of the Mantra by the following statement.

Gayatri Mata. Jpg
Goddess Gayatri.

‘Gayatri Chadasam Mata, Gayatri is thr Mother of all meters, Chandas

Mantras are not mere letters.

They represent vibrations and as such they are to be heard and learnt and not by writing/reading.

This applies to all Hindu scriptures right from the Vedas.

The sounds are captured in Syllables and Mantras have never been written as a poem or as Prose.

Individual Syllables are locked mystically and together they form a Mantra.

Placement of the syllable results in delivering different results.

Mantras were grasped from Ether by the Rishis, Seers and were released by them for the welfare of Mankind.

Each Mantra has a Rishi, Devata and Athi Devata.

And each mantra has to be chanted in a specific meter called Chandas.

For more details on Chandas please read my article.

The speciality of Gayatri. thpugh it is a Mantra. It is a Chandas, that is Meter!

The avahana, the welcome and seating of the Gayatri Mantra is,

Savitrya Rishi:

Nisruth Gayatri Chandah”

It is clearly stated that the Meter of Gayatri, the way it is ti be chanted is the Gayatri meter.

Meter for Meter, Chandas for Chandas!

Every letter of 24 of Gayatri has one Rishi , in all twenty four Rishis for twenry four Syllables.

Now Gayatri , a meter by itself has twenty four Meters.

It can be intoned in twenty four meters, a rarity for A Mantra as a Mantra can be recited only in on meter.

Each syllable Gayatri has one chandas, that is the essence of the specific Meter.

One can chant in this way.

The other method is to chant Gayatri in any of the 24 Chandas.

Each Recitation has a different effect .

I shall be writing on this in detail.

Inputs on this is requested from Scholars.

The twenty Four Chandas, meters of Gayatri are,

(1) Gâyatrî,

(2) Usnik,

(3) Anustup,

(4) Brihatî,

(5) Pankti,

(6) Trisnup,

(7) Jagatî,

(8) Atijagatî,

(9) S’akkarî,

(10) Ati S’akkarî,

(11) Dhriti,

(12) Ati Dhriti,

(13) Virât,

(14) Prastârapankti,

(15) Kriti,

(16) Prâkriti,

(17) Âkriti,

(18) Vikriti,

(19) Samkriti,

(20) Aksarapankti,

(21) Bhuh,

(22) Bhuvah,

(23) Svah and

(24) Jyotismatî.

( Devi Bhagavatham Book 1, Slokas 8 to 27)

I shall be writing on the 24 Reigning Deities of Gayatri.

Gayatri Kavacha Nyasa Details How To Chant Lord Narayana

$
0

Lord Narayana describes the inner meaning and procedures of the Gayatri Manta to Sage  Narada.

The Gayatri mantra is from the Rig Veda.

The Gāyatrī Mantra, also known as the Sāvitrī mantra, is a highly revered mantra from the Rig Veda (Mandala 3.62.10)

Narayana explains Gayatri from Yajur, Sama and Atharva Vedas.

I am providing the Armor of the Gayatri Mantra.

This forms the Nyasa.

Gayatri Mata. Jpg
Goddess Gayatri.

This is the Kavacha one has before chanting the Gayatri Mantra.

Now hear the Risis, Chhandas, etc., of this Kavacha :–

Brahmâ, Visnu and Mahes’vara are the Risis;

the Rik, Yajus, Sâma and Atharva Vedas are the Chhandas;

the Paramâ Kalâ Gâyatrî of the nature of Brahmâ is the Devatâ;

“Tat” in Gâyatrî is the Vîja; “Bharga” is the S’akti; and “Dhîyah” is the Kîlaka; and its viniyoga (application) is in getting the Moksa (liberation.).

With the first four syllables touch the heart; with the next three letters touch the head;

with the next four letters touch the tuft on the crown of the head; with the next three

letters on the Kavacha; with the next four letters on the eyes and with the last four letters

make the Nyâsa, all over the body repeating “Astrâya Phat,” O Nârada! Hear now the

Dhyânam of Gâyatrî, that grants all desires.

The Gâyatrî Devî has five faces; one of which is of white colour; and the other four is of pearl, Vidruma, golden, and Nîlakântamani colour respectively.

Each face has got three eyes; on the head there is a crown of jewels and the digit of the Moon is shining there. Her body is composed of the twenty-four tattvas.

She has ten hands :– On the top right and left hands there are two lotuses; lower down, there are disc and conch shell; lower down, there are rope and skull; lower down, there are noose and goad; and on the bottom hands right and left she is making signs of “No fear” and “ready to grant boons.”

Thus meditating on S’rî Gâyatrî, one is to recite the Kavacha thus :–

Let the Gâyatrî Devî protect my front; Sâvitrî Devî protect my right;

the Sandhyâ Devî, my back and

the Devî Sarasvatî, my left.

Let my Mother Pârvatî Devî protect my quarters.

Let Jalas’âyinî protect the southeast;

Yâtudhâna Bhayankarî protect my South-west;

Pavamânavilâsinî my north-west;

Rudrarûpinî Rudrânî protect my north-east.

Let Brahmânî protect my top and

Vaisnavî protect my nether regions

. Let the word “Tat” in the Gâyatrî protect my legs;

“Savituh” protect my Knees;

“Varenyam,” protect my loins;

“Bhargah,” my navel.

Let “Devasya” protect my heart;

“Dhîmahî” protect my neck;

“Dhîyah,” protect my eyes;

“Yah,” protect my forehead;

“Nah” protect my head; and

“Prachodayât” protect the tuft on the crown of my head.

Again let the “Tat” of the twenty-four syllabled Gâyatrî protect my head;

“Sa,” protect my forehead;

“Vi” protect my eyes;

“Tu” my cheeks;

“Va,” protect my nostrils;

“Re,” my mouth;

“ni” protect my upper lip;

“Yah” protect my lower lip;

“Bha” within my face;

“rgo,” protect my cheeks;

“De,” my throat; “Va” my shoulders;

“Sya” my right hand;

“Dhi” my navel;

“ma,” my heart,

“Hi,” my belly;

“Dhî,” my navel;

“Yo” my loins;

“Yo”, my anus;

“nah,” my thighs,

“Pra,” my Knees;

“Cho” my shanks ,

“Da” my heels;

“Yâ” my legs;

and let “at” protect all my sides.

O Nârada! This divine Kavacha of the Devî Gâyatrî can baffle hundreds and thousands of obstructions and evils; can grant sixty-four Kalâs and liberation. By the glory of this Kavacha, man can become free from all evils and can attain the state of Brahmâ. Moreover whoever reads or hears this acquires the fruits of making a gift of a thousand cows.

Who Are The Ancient Rishis Priests Of Rig Veda

$
0
0

Vedas are earliest Literature recorded in Human History.

This,along with the other Three Vedas,Yajur( Sukla and Krishna),Sama and Atharva forms the basic reference authority on everything related to Hinduism

The words of the Vedas are final

Each Veda has four parts.

They are,

Samhitas,

  • The Samhitas consists of hymns of praise of Gods
  • The Brahmanas are rituals and prayers to guide the priests in their duties.
  • The Aranyakas concern worship and meditation.
  • The Upanishads consist of the mystical and philosophical teachings of Hinduism.

This corresponds to the Four Stations of Life

Brahmacharya,the life of celibacy and studentship,Samhitas)

Gruhastha,Married Life,( Brahmanas)

Vanaprastha,Retired Life,when one having completed his family responsibilities meditates on the Reality of Brahman,preferably in a forest.(Aranyaka) and

Sanyasin,the State of total renunciation,seeking answers to Life and Realizing Self( Upanishad)

Though each stage of Life is called Asrama,Station of Tranquility is connected one aspect of  the Vedas,there is no bar in learning all the components of the Vedas,though one is advised to practice what is meant for his Station,Asrama.

Of these Four Vedas,the Rig Veda is the oldest.

The Vedas were compiled by Seers,called Rishis.

The Vedas are meant to be heard and learnt.

They were transmitted orally,never in a written form,though they were written on Palm leaves.

These Rishis are numerous.

Each Mantra has a Rishi.

So there are many Rishis who complied the Vedas.

But the earliest,first Rishis who performed the Duties of Priests are Ten.

These Families represent the First Rishis of the Vedas.

They are,

  1. ANgirases,
  2. BhRgus,
  3. ViSvAmitras,
  4. VasiSThas,
  5. Agastyas,
  6. KaSyapas
  7. Atris,
  8. Kevala-ANgirases (KaNvas in the Rigveda)
  9. Kevala-BhRgus (GRtsamadas in the Rigveda).
  10.  Bharatas.*

* This family does not figure as a separate family in later priestly traditions, which place kings who became RSis among either the ANgirases or the BhRgus.

Four Tools To Remove Negative Thoughts Yoga Sutra 1.33

$

Indian Philosophy distinguishes three aspects,

Between Brain,Mind,Intellect.

The Brain,the physical organ receives the signals,Stimulii.

At the this level what is received remains as raw Data.

The Mind,Manas,ascribes file folders  like agreeable,disagreeable,the Genus the Stimuli belongs to.

It does not go further,excepting associating the Stimuli with Emotion.

But is Buddhi,this can be translated roughly as Intellect ,passes judgement by assigning Labels such as Correct,Incorrect,factual judgements ;Right or Wrong ,Moral Judgement.

How and why Buddhi behaves the way it does?

It is because of Chitta,which is Consciousness.

The Individual Consciousness is,till it Realizes its Identity with the Universal Reality,Brahman,is tethered to Swabhava,one’s natural disposition and Karmaphala,fruits of actions.

More of this later.

As Yoga is the effort to effect Union of the Individual Consciousness with the Universal One,the Chitta is to be corrected,purified.

The reflections in the Chitta,when it is not fully Realized,is conditioned be downstream Data from Intellect,Mind.

This Data has to be properly reflected upon.

The negative inputs gathered as explained in the earlier Sutras are to be handled by the following four tools.

Friendship,

Mercy,

Gladness, and

Indifference.

Patanjali Yoga Sutra 1.33.image
Patanjali Yoga sutra1.33

Swami Vivekananda explains thus,

‘maitreekarunamuditopekshanan
sukhaduhkhapunyapunyavishayanan
bhavanatashchittaprasadanam’

Friendship, mercy, gladness, indifference, being
thought of in regard to subjects, happy, unhappy,
good and evil respectively, pacify the Chitta.
We must have these four sorts of ideas. We must have
friendship for all; we must be merciful towards those that are
in misery; when people are happy we ought to be happy, and
to the wicked we must be indifferent. So with all subjects that
come before us. If the subject is a good one, we shall feel
friendly towards it; if the subject of thought is one that is
miserable we must be merciful towards the subject. If it is
good we must be glad, if it is evil we must be indifferent.
These attitudes of the mind towards the different subjects that
come before it will make the mind peaceful. Most of our
difficulties in our daily lives come from being unable to hold
our minds in this way. For instance, if a man does evil to us,

instantly we want to react evil, and every reaction of evil shows that we are not able to hold the Chitta down; it comes out in waves towards the object, and we lose our power. Eve

Every reaction in the form of hatred or evil is so much loss to the
mind, and every evil thought or deed of hatred, or any thought
of reaction, if it is controlled, will be laid in our favour. It is
not that we lose by thus restraining ourselves; we are gaining
infinitely more than we suspect. Each time we suppress
hatred, or a feeling of anger, it is so much good energy stored
up in our favour; that piece of energy will be converting into the higher powers.

The obejective of Human Life is to realize the Self.

This is possible only when one can control and channelize the thoughts in the effort to control Chitta,which exists at a higher level than thoughts.

Patanjali describes ,in the first Sutra of his Yoga Sutra,

‘Yogaha,Chitta vruthi nirodhdha’

The cessation of the modification of Chitta is Yoga,Communion.

For more on this,please read my articles on Yoga Sutra.

By limiting the Thought waves, Consciousness is controlled through Breath Control.

Breath Control is described by Patanjali under Pranayama.

All the steps of Yoga are to be followed in the order described by Patanjali.

I have listed them in the order at the beginning of this article.

Performing Yoga in any other manner,like doing Pranayama or the so called Meditation without going through Yama ,Niyama etc. Is not Yoga.

It might appear to produce results, but would harm,in the long run,physically and spiritually.

Packaged Yoga to suit masses is injurious.

I have written that the effort in Yoga is to control Chitta through these steps of Patanjali.

The process of controlling Chitta direct through Breath control is callled Vaasi Yoga and Lord Shiva was the First to practice it.

The process of Vaasi Yoga is Shiva.

Read Vaasi backwards,it is,Shiva.

Please check my detailed article on this.

There is an Upanishad in the,Sama Veda dedicated to Yoga process.

This was taught bt Lord Dattatreya to Sage Sankrithi.

This is the Jabali Darshana Upanishad.

Jabala Darshana Upanishad, Translation by Sri.P.R.Ramchander.

Om ! Let my limbs and speech, Prana, eyes, ears, vitality
And all the senses grow in strength.
All existence is the Brahman of the Upanishads.
May I never deny Brahman, nor Brahman deny me.
Let there be no denial at all:
Let there be no denial at least from me.
May the virtues that are proclaimed in the Upanishads be in me,
Who am devoted to the Atman; may they reside in me.
Om ! Let there be Peace in me !
Let there be Peace in my environment !
Let there be Peace in the forces that act on me !

God Dattatreya is the reincarnation of the four armed Vishnu and he is the ruler of the world. Sankrithi is a great devotee and a sage and is an expert in yoga and also a disciple of Dattatreya. He approached his teacher (God Dattatreya) with humility and with folded hands, when his teacher was alone and requested him, “Oh God, please tell me about the science of yoga which has eight branches and five different sthanas (places) by knowing which I will attain salvation. Dattatreya told him, “Hey Sankrithi, I shall tell you about Yoga which has eight branches. The eight branches are Yama, Niyama, Aasana, Pranayama, Prathyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi.

Yama which is the first is the practice of non-violence, truth, non possession of properties of others, celibacy, mercy, honesty, patience, stability, food discipline and cleanliness. 1

Niyama is the ten aspects of penance, joy, orthodoxy, charity, worship of god, hearing of philosophy, fear for bad actions, clear intellect, chanting and austerities. 2

The nine important Asanas (sitting positions) are Swasthika (Swastika), Gomukha (cows face), Padma (lotus), Veera (valorous), Simha (lion), Badra (safe), Muktha (free), Mayura (peacock) and Sukha (pleasant). Oh sage, that position, whatever it may be but which makes you comfortable and gives you courage to undertake Yoga is called Sukhasana. People who do not have strength to take up other positions can use that. Victory in the seating position is like victory over the three worlds. Once the Asana is fixed, one should practice Pranayama.  3

Either in the top of the mountain or by the shore of the river or under a Bilwa tree in the forest, after choosing a clean place which is acceptable to the mind and after establishing a place to do tapas (Asram), sit in the Asana which is most familiar facing either east or north. Then sit with the body neck and head in a straight line, cover the face and concentrate the vision with best possible attention on the nectar flowing from the fourth state of the moon like dot at the end of the nose. Draw the air inside using the lungs, store it in the stomach, meditate on the flame of fire inside the body and then shift meditation to the root of fire with its sound and dot. Then the intelligent one will exhale and draw the Prana using Pingala (Nadi which is tawny and is on the right side of Sushumna Nadi) and meditate on the Agni Bheeja. Again he has to exhale and inhale again in the middle using the Ida (Nadi which is pleasant and is on the left side of Sushumna). One should have to live in a secret place practicing this exercise six times for 3-4 days or 3-4 weeks at dawn, noon and dusk. This would help him to clean up the Nadis. Slowly symbols will start showing up. Body will become light, the fire in the stomach will burn well and the voice would become clearer. These are the symbols of Siddhi (getting mastery). Till you see this, you have to practice. 4

Now I will tell you about Prathyahara. To use force and divert the sensory organs which normally travel according to their nature is Prathyahara. Those who know Brahma say that seeing whatever we see as the form of Brahman is Prathyahara. Prathyahara also is doing clean or unclean acts as those belonging to Brhaman. Further doing daily religious activities after dedicating them to God and similarly doing the activities which we desire is also Prathyahara. Apart from this inhaling air (oxygen) and stopping it in different places is also Prathyahara. The wise man would sit in Swasthikasana, draw his breath till it fills up from head to toe and hold it in two feet, mooladhara, stomach, middle of the heart, bottom of the neck, jaw, middle of the eyelids, forehead and at the top of the skull. Then he should leave out the belief that the body is oneself and make that thought as nirvikalpa and merge it with Paramatma. The experts in Vedanta say that this is true Prathyahara. There is nothing that cannot be attained by those who practice like this.  5

Now I will tell you about the five types of Dharana (holding steady – a stage in meditation – here we try to hold on what we are mediating upon without wavering). In the sky which is in the middle of the body, Dharana of the sky outside should be made. Similarly in the breath, Dharana of air outside should be made. In the fire in the stomach, Dharana of the fire outside should be made. In the fluid aspects of the body, Dharana of the water outside should be made. In the earthy aspects of the body, Dharana of the earth outside should be made. Sage, also it is necessary to chant the pancha bhootha mantras viz., Ham, Yam, Ram, Vam and Lam. It is said that this very great Dharana destroys all sins. In the body up to the knee is the aspect of the earth, from there till hip it is the aspect of water, up to the heart is the aspect of fire, up to middle of eyelids is the aspect of air and then up to the middle of the skull is the aspect of the sky. In the aspect of earth Brahma has to be placed, in the aspect of water Vishnu should be placed, in the aspect of fire Rudra should be placed, in the aspect of air Iswara should be placed and in the aspect of sky, the Sadashiva should be placed. Hey great sage, I will also tell you another Dharana. In the Jeevatma, that lord Shiva who rules over everything and is the personification of wisdom should be placed. To get rid of all sins, the wise man should suppress the gods like Brahma in the causative self, and place the Avyakta (that which is not clear) which is formless and which is the root cause inside the entire soul with the chanting of pranava. He should control the sensory organs by mind and should merge them with the soul. 6

I will now tell you about Dhyana (meditation) which destroys sorrow. Dhyana should be done of that Maheswara, who is the medicine for problems arising out of birth, who is the discipline and fundamental basis of the world who is of the form of Para Brahma, who has the masculine power upwards, who is of the form of the world, who is Virupaksha, and who is the head of all yogis as “I am He”. Then continue to do Dhyana of him who is beyond the reach of meditation, who is the personification of Sachidananda Brahman and who is soul in person as “I am He” for attaining salvation. In the mind of that great Purusha who practices like this, the science of Vedanta would automatically appear. There is no doubt about it.  7

Now I will tell you about Samadhi (deep meditative state)  which destroys the ills of birth and death. Samadhi is that state in which there is knowledge that Jeevatma and Paramatma are one. Atma (soul) is filled all over for ever and does not have motion or stain. Though it is one, due to the effects of illusion, it appears as different objects. Really there is no difference between these so called objects. When one sees all objects within himself and him as a part of all objects, He attains Brahman.  When one drowns himself in Samadhi and does not see different objects as different , then he attains the single aim of salvation. When he sees only the true soul and the entire world appears as an illusion to him and he is cured of all sorrow.

Thus advised by Lord Dattatreya the sage Sankrithi fully lost all his fear and attained that blissfull state, deep in himself.

The latter is an Attribute of Brahman, the Ultimate Reality. As Saguna Brahman, Relative Reality, it evolves itself into the world of Names and Forms. This is where we live in. The other, beyond names and forms and some with names and forms exist, if one follows the Indian scriptures closely.

Unless we record that this work as an attempt at converting Hindus, by writing in Sanskrit, History in the not too distant future would record Kristhu Bhagavatham as the Nineteenth Purana or a Upa Puran. I am recording this now here digitally that this Kristhu Kaavya is an attempt to seek legitimacy among Hindus to convert them. In fact, this method of conversion is taking place now.
